5.7 quake rocks Northern Luzon

SINAIT, Ilocos Sur – A pre-dawn magnitude 5.7 earthquake rocked some areas in Northern Luzon yesteday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) here. Local Phivolcs researcher Porferio De Peralta said the tremor, which was tectonic in origin, occurred at 3:40 a.m. with epicenter located at 58 kilometer northwest offshore of Bolinao, Pangasinan with a depth of 45 kilometers.
