Susan thanks Coco for keeping FPJ legacy alive

JUST A THOUGHT: “Let your dreams be bigger than your fears, your actions louder than your words, and your faith stronger than your feelings.” FPJ’S LEGACY: Philippine movie queen Susan Roces thanked Coco Martin for keeping the legacy of Fernando Poe, Jr. alive through “FPJ's Ang Probinsyan­o”.

The Number One series celebrated its first anniversar­y on the week of September 29 through a dinner event held at ABS-CBN’s 950 Executive Lounge.

Susan credited Coco for picking “Ang Probinsyan­o” as his TV series from among other considerat­ions. “Ang Probinsyan­o” started airing on ABS-CBN in September 2015.

The audience is curious. Which title from among FPJ’s library of films will Coco pick next for his follow-up series?

FREE CONCERT: As “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyan­o” marks its first anniversar­y, big surprises await viewers as ABSCBN’s brightest stars come together and thank fans for their unwavering support for the Kapamilya series live at the Araneta Colisuem on October 8 (Saturday).

Witness the whole cast of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyan­o” led by Coco Martin with Susan Roces, Maja Salvador, Arjo Atayde, Simon “Onyok” Pineda, McNeal “Awra” Briguela, John Prats, Yassi Pressman and Bela Padilla as they show their love for the program’s fans. Joining them are Pepe Herrera, Agot Isidro, Albert Martinez, and Eddie Garcia.

The biggest names in the industry will also be present to thank supporters as loveteams James Reid and Nadine Lustre (JaDine), Elmo Magalona and Janella Salvador (ElNella), and McCoy De Leon and ElisseJoso­n (McLisse), together with Gary Valenciano, OgieAlcasi­d, Vina Morales, Ayen Laurel, and other “ASAP” singers. “It’s Showtime’s” Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, and all-male group Hashtags will also be there. Since it aired in September 2015, the series starring Coco Martin has kept its reign in national TV ratings and still holds the record for the highest nationwide rating for 2016 — 46.7% — which it got last February.
