Games Tomorrow (The Arena, San Juan City) 12 noon – LSGH vs Malayan (Jrs.) 2 p.m. – CSB vs Mapua (Srs.) 4 p.m. – San Beda vs Arellano (Srs.) 6 p.m. – San Beda vs Arellano (Jrs.) Still soaring. Lyceum endured some shaky moments in the final period before it outhustled Emilio Aguinaldo College, 8674, yesterday to remain unscathed in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan City.

The Pirates turned to their usual runand-gun style, holding off the Generals in the last 5:27 en route to their 14th consecutive victory in as many appearances.

The feat also intensified Lyceum’s bid for the No. 1 seeding with only four games left in the eliminations.

Lyceum appeared in control for most parts of the game by consistently leading in double figures, before EAC launched a quick attack midway in the fourth that saw the Pirates’ 78-68 lead reduce to only six, 78-72, courtesy of back-to-back jumpers from Jerome Garcia and Rustan Bugarin.

But twins Jaycee and Jayvee Marcelino took charge for the Pirates, draining crucial baskets to regain the initiative.

Though they’re still undefeated, Lyceum’s go-to guy CJ Perez said they still have a lot to learn going into the last stages of the elims.

By making a season-high 16 triples and holding Letran ace Rey Nambatac to a season-low 6 points, the San Sebastian College Stags clobbered the Knights, 95-64, to boost their semis bid in the 93rd NCAA men’s basketball tournament at The Arena in San Juan City.

The Stags dominated the Knights throughout the match, leading by as many as 33 points to pick up their seventh victory against six defeats.

The win propelled San Sebastian to joint third place with Jose Rizal University,

Showing none of the might that enabled them to beat the Stags, 79-75, in overtime, the Knights were reduced to a fumbling squad.
