PRRD calls out EU imperialists

President Duterte is not keen on attending the Asia-Europe Meeting in Belgium later this year not only due to huge travel costs but also his disdain for the European "imperialists."

The European Union has invited the President to attend the meeting between Asian and Europe leaders in Brussels this October. The invitation was reportedly sent to Malacañang last Tuesday.

"Susmaryosep. Gastos gastos lang ako. Buti sana kung mura 'yan kung maglipad ako, it will cost us millions," Duterte said in a press conference upon arrival in Davao City from his official visit to India.

"But then again I just don't like their attitude that's all so why would I go there to discuss a matter which I hate to talk about in front of them," he added.
