Wang’s Basketball and Che’Lu Bar and Grill seek to gain a hold of the solo lead while Centro Escolar University makes its debut today when the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup action resumes at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The Couriers square off with the the Revellers in the final offering of a familiar triple-header at 5 p.m, both eager to pick up from where they left off last week when they took care of the respective opening assignments.

Wang’s Basketball, built around the core of NCAA contender Letran, scored a thorough 93-75 beating of AMA Online Education while Che’Lu Bar and Grill, boosted by several vital cogs of San Sebastian, defeated Perpetual Help, 83-70.

Meanwhile, the Scorpions are determined to set their title bid in motion as they take on the dangerous Marinerong Pilipino Skippers in an early collision of title favorites at 3 p.m.

CEU, who finished bridesmaid to Cignal in the Foundation Cup last year, is set to bring in some familiar faces in Congolese center Rod Ebondo, heady guard Orlan Wamar, gunner Judel Fuentes and top forward Rich Guinitaran.

For sure, the Scorpions’ true mettle will be tested right away by a Skippers side raring to bounce back from a stunning 80-75 loss to AkariAdamson last Thursday, with the likes of Renzo Subido, Alvin Pasaol and Abu Tratter eager to redeem themselves.

Raising the curtains is the 1 p.m. encounter between Batangas and Gamboa Coffee Mix, both eager to get on track after falling prey in their respective openers.

Much of the spotlight, however, are expected to fall on the main match, with the Couriers aching to earn some measure of revenge over some of the Golden Stags in the Revellers’ fold after enduring a playoff exit in the NCAA tourney last year.
