Kris reveals fears, names disease
AFTER a series of medical tests, as carried out by specialists in Singapore, Kris Aquino revealed she has chronic spontaneous urticaria, a disease commonly known as, well, hives.
Kris actually took leave from work to address the concern.
Note she also suffered sudden weight loss due to stress having been supposedly duped by a yetto-be-named former employee. She thought she has cancer. In an Instagram post, Kris explained:
“I was SCARED, our Mom had unexplained weight loss before her cancer diagnosis. That’s why I had my series of blood tests.”
She added, “My initial diagnosis indicated an autoimmune disease... to be specific, we were afraid it was lupus.”
“I now know I have Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, and yes, mine is an autoimmune disease.”
Kris continued, “I am now, and for the rest of my existence will be, on high dosage antihistamines and having the EpiPen will always be crucial. Severe allergies are life threatening because of anaphylactic shock.”
EpiPen is an epinephrine autoinjector, used for injecting a measured dose of epinephrine by means of autoinjector technology. It is most often used for the treatment of anaphylaxis.
Kris said these medications will now be added to the ones she has been taking to manage her hypertension, as well as her migraines.
