Twins vie for Miss Intercontinental crown
FOR the first time in an international pageant, two sisters representing Albania and Kosovo, will vie for the Miss Intercontinental crown.
Twin sisters Miss Albania Arvanita Peci and Miss Kosovo Arjanita Peci explained how and why they are representing two different nations at the 47th edition of the pageant being held in Manila this year.
20 year-old Arvanita said: “I was born in Kosovo and now I am living in Germany. Currently I work as a banker.
“My brother was the person who registered me for the first miss election, so everything started in my home city. Now it is a great honor for me to represent my country Albania at Miss Intercontinental because I am very proud to be Albanian.”
On the other hand, Arjanita said: “When my sister and I were born our family had to leave our country because of the war.
“It was hard because we had to start from zero. Today we are living satisfied in Germany.
“My Brother registered me and my twin sister Arvanita at the first miss election in our home city. Now we are very happy for his great idea and so we look forward to what is coming,” Arjanita added.
More than 85 international contestants are competing in the Miss Intercontinental beauty pageant. The coronation night will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Jan. 26.
