The “Boobay and Tekla Show (TBATS),” and “TODA One I Love,” two of the network’s recently launched comedy shows, have been, for the last three weeks, overtaking competition, per Nielsen ratings.
Especially noteworthy is “The Boobay and Tekla Show,” hosted by two relatively unknown comedians. Boobay and Tekla, veterans of Timog Avenue comedy clubs, have been providing stiff competition to Vice Ganda’s “Gandang Gabi, Vice,” every Sunday.

platform for network romos.
The situation has opned a window for GMA to explore ew, comedic possibilities on the sme timeslot, featuring a new cst and new material, and it seem s the station has been successful n this latest experimentation. “TATS,” which has a naughty conntation in the vernacular, is liked foits generally good vibe and feel-god humor.
On the other hand “TODA One I Love,” starring Kyl Ruru Madrid, is effectie in its timely, irreverent treatment of humor in politics. Quite timely as we are in the thick of election fver.
Also creating headwy in afternoon ratings is “Inagaw na ituin.” Kyline Alcantara and Theres Malvar make for a good combinatioof spunk and talent, heightening tesion in every scene they appear in
