MONKEYS make the weirdest news. Website Ranker said recently that monkeys are the mortal enemies of most people in India. It cited a monkey from Bareilly who stole a bus and smashed it into two other buses before the driver could regain control of the vehicle.

A spokesperson said, “Monkeys have become a regular menace at bus stations and workshops, where they often fiddle with vehicles undergoing repair. They have also damaged CCTV cameras at stations. Three years back we had taken the help of municipal authorities to get

rid of them but they have returned.”

Are monkeys always notorious for making trouble?

In India, where monkeys abound, websites are teeming with stories about their behavior. A group of monkeys stoned a 72-year old man to death.

A monkey kidnapped a newborn baby, who was later killed.

News site Independent quoted a police officer in Doghat: ‘How can we register the case against monkeys?”

Chitwan Singh said, “This will make us a laughing stock.”

The source also said that villagers have repeatedly complained about monkeys causing havoc in the area and told The Times of India there was no solution in sight.

Many parts of India have reported the aggressive behavior of monkeys in their localities.

TRIVIA PA MORE (Various Sources): Names are not always what they seem. The common Welsh name Bzjxxllwcp is pronounced as Jackson. That’s according to a quote from Mark Twain.

The word boondocks, which is now a part of the English language, dictionary and vocabulary, comes from the Tagalog word “bundok,” meaning mountain.
