Alex’s advice to vloggers
JUST A THOUGHT: “Wonder is the beginning of wisdom.” – Socrates
ADVICE TO VLOGGERS: With 3.6 million subscribers on YouTube and 6.6 million followers on Instagram, Alex Gonzaga is definitely one of the most popular vloggers in the country today.
That makes the actress-TV host an expert in dishing out advice to future vloggers. What does Alex have to tell them?
“You have to be true to yourself to be unique, so you will stand out,’’ she says.
“This is the right time to showcase who you really are. Ginawa ang social media to showcase one’s individuality and uniqueness.”
“So instead na sundin mo kung ano ‘yung trending o kung ano ‘yung nakikita mo sa social media, ipakita mo sa social media kung sino ka talaga.”
Alex reminds, however, that vloggers should not disrespect people around them. It need not always be about ‘This is me, this is me.’
“You have to respect other people, you also have to know how to be polite, to be kind.”

DON’T CHANGE ALEX: The 31-year-old comedian and vlogger signed with GCash, bringing her well-known wit and humor to connect with 20 million users and promote financial inclusion in the Philippines.
“Alex Gonzaga represents what our core users stand for – independence, kindness and empowerment. She is a wonderful person whose heart is in the right place,” Ney Villasenor, head of Mynt’s Corporate Communications Group, said.
GCash recognizes Alex’s success as an independent woman, a highly relatable influencer.
“We do not plan to change Alex as a person. We want her to maintain her brand of wit, humor and passion as she experiences GCash and shares it with her own base and reach,” Villasenor said.
Alex’s channel tackles all kinds of topics, from style to make-up to relationships. Her latest music video, “Chambe,” is a top hit, with over 24 million views.
