MARTIN del Rosario is off to a good start this year.
The actor has earned another acting accolade, this time Asian Television Awards’ Best Leading Male Performance-Digital prize for his performance in “Born Beautiful.”
He received his trophy personally Saturday evening at Resorts World Manila, Pasay City.
“I told myself to be nominated itself is already enough, to be recognized all over Asia… but the biggest blessing for me is the opportunity to represent my country, the Philippines,” he said.
Note, the Kapuso actor also took home the Best Actor Award during the 2019 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino for his performance in “The Panti Sisters.”
Meanwhile, the digital film “Mystified” won Best Single Drama or Telemovie award.
Its stars Karylle and Diana Zubiri were present to accept the award.
Another Philippine entry, GMA Network and Synergy 88 Entertainment’s animated series “Barangay 143,” won Best Theme Song for “Alanganin” as performed by Kris Lawrence and Krizza Neri.
TV5 big boss Manny V. Pangilinan was a special honoree for “Outstanding Contribution to Asian Television.” Other winners include Taiwanese star William Hsieh (Best Actor in a Leading Role), Indonesian pop superstar Anggun ( Outstanding Contribution to Asian Television Performing Arts), Thailand’s Tisanart Sornsuek, (Best Actress in a Leading Role for “True Life of a Drama Queen”), Jeevan Nathan (Best Direction-Fiction), Line Company Thailand (Cable/Satellite Network of the Year), China Global Television (Terrestrial Broadcaster of the Year), Thailand’s Panirin Tumwattana (Best Host / Presenter – Digital) Taiwan’s Alana Nichols (Best Entertainment Presenter/Host), “Masterchef Junior Thailand” Season 1 (Best Adaptation of an Existing Format), “My Kitchen Rules Australia” (Best Reality Show), “My Kitchen Rules Australia,” “The Deadline” (Best Original Digital Drama Series), “Social Syndrome” (Best Digital Fiction Programme/Series), Thailand’s Chanya McClory (Best Leading Female Performance – Digital), Thailand’s Attaphan Poonsawat (Best Actor in a Supporting Role), Thailand’s Anyarin Terethananpat (Best Actress in a Supporting Role), and South Korea’s “Skycastle” (Best Drama Series:).
