MORE AND MORE – You haven’t read the last of internatio­nal awards won by Filipino films. Here are more and more. Raymund Ribay Gutierrez’s

Special Jury Prize from the 76th Venice Internatio­nal Film Festival in Italy.

Raymund’s short film, “Judgment,” also won at the 32nd World fest Houston Film Festival.

PJ Raval’s “Call Her Ganda.”

It won the Audience Choice Award at the Seattle AsianAmeri­can Film Festival in Washington, USA.

Iar Lionel Arondaing’s “Musmos na Sumibol sa Gubat ng Digma.”

Arondaing won the Special Jury Prize at the 18th Balkal Internatio­nal Film Festival in Russia.

Denise O’Hara’s “Mamang” won the best feature film at the 17th Dhaka Internatio­nal Film Festival in Bangladesh.

Mac Cosico’s “Musmos” won best cinematogr­aphy at the Festival de Cinema de Figueira da Foz in Coimbra Portugal. Arjanmar Rebeta’s short film, “Palabas – A Country in Moving Pictures” won at the 17th Internatio­nal Festival Signs of the Night in Germany.

Carlo Enciso Catu’s “Kung Paano Hinihintay ang Dapithapon.”

It win two prizes; Audience Choice Award at the 25th Vesoul Internatio­nal Film Festival of Asian Cinema in France and Special Jury Prize at the 39th Oporto- Fantasport­o Internatio­nal Film Festival in Portugal. Chan Oliver Siukuen’s “Still Human” gave Crisel Consunji the best award at the Hong Kong Film Awards. Angeli Bayani won the best actress trophy at the 15th Zagora Internatio­nal Trans-Sahara Film festival in Zig Dulay’s “Bagahe.”
