“There was an audition. I think I said yes even before hearing fully what it was about. I was given my scene to record.
“I was given my song to sing. As I was rehearsing, I said to myself, ‘Why are my eyes tearing up? Is it because I haven’t gotten a script in years? Is it because the song gave me a renewed sense of purpose? Is it because I have been still for so long? Is it because this endeavor reminded me as well that I am still here? Hindi bago sa musical theater si Christian dahil nagawa niya in the past ang musicals na “West Side Story,” “Rama Hari,” “Cinderella,” at “Ghost: The Musical.”
