Aubrey returns to music
Aubrey Caraan is now more known as actress.
She admits so herself, telling us recently how people often refer to her as such.
“I understand naman kasi parang na set aside ko yung music ko. Mas madalas ako makita sa TV, sa mga pelikula. Parang nakalimutan na tuloy ng mga tao na nagstart talaga ako as singer, performer.”
She was quick to add, “Happy ako. Don’t get me wrong. I’m thankful for the acting opportunities given me. Pero gusto ko rin kasi ang music. It’s my first love talaga and I think kaya naman silang pagsabayin e. So, sana, in five years time I hope people would recognize me not only as an actress but also a singer.”
She is helping ease the process dropping her latest single “Sana,” which she cowrote with Sean Cedro.
“It’s my first time. At first talagang medyo kabado ako kasi I feel like I’m not really
good at writing stuff. Yung isulat ang naiisip ko at nararamdaman. Tapos nang sinabi sa akin na love song ang theme para sa song, mas lalo akong kinabahan kasi NBSB (No Boyfriend Since Birth) nga ako,” related the 23-year-old.
So what is the song all about?
“It’s about what if’s, wishes, hopes, dreams,” she said. “Simple lang siya pero I think many people could relate.”
The moody, electro pop sounding tune, released under Vicor Music, has an accompanying music video as directed by Raymond Fabian and featuring Jairus Aquino.
“I really hope ‘Sana’ will be able to re-establish my stature as singer,” Aubrey intoned. “Iba ang pakiramdam singing in front of a crowd and I hope to create more music soon.”
