Kiddie spa

TRAILER

- NESTOR CUARTERO

Don’t deprive your children of sleep, precious sleep. Thus declared (more like an appeal) Dr. Carl Balita to parents of child actors at the opening of Little Lamb’s Kids Spa in Greenhills November 8.

In said child facility, through the guidance and supervision of trained health workers, children from ages 2 to 7 are rendered wellness and massage treatment.

“The treatment leads to deep sleep among the kids, which results in the production of growth hormones,” says Dr. Roselyne Marie M. Balita, who runs Little Lamb’s.

Dr. Carl noted that the growth of many child actors is stunted by overnight filming that robs them of sleep. He says this can be avoided by regulating working hours of children in show business.

Little Lamb’s, founded by Dr. Lynne and her husband in 2006, is the country’s first and only spa for children, awarded by Asiaspa as Asia’s best children’s spa. It has a clinic, salon and barbershop, and a play land.

Dr. Lynne believes that if adults get pampered, then children must have the same privilege. Parents can deposit their children at the spa while they do their shopping.

The kiddie spa is run by a team of midwives, nurses, certified therapists, and internationally-experienced staff.

Dr. Lynne herself is a pediatrician and Usa-certified Infant Massage specialist.

Some of Little Lamb’s celebrity clients include nowgrown (and how!) Paul Salas and Mika de la Cruz, who spent many hours of play and restful sleep in its care.

They are proof, Dr. Carl notes, that sleep is essential to growth.
