Ice delivers

- By NEIL RAMOS

Those who braved Friday night traffic on their way to the Music Museum for Ice Seguerra’s “Videoke Hits” concert were amply rewarded.

The singer-songwriter allowed for a performance never seen prior.

It was quite an eye, and earopener, so to speak, with Ice making sure to cover all bases.

The title of the show says it all.

From dance-worthy tunes, to galloping rock anthems and heartrending ballads, Ice sung them all.

And with gusto.

He even dressed in drag at one point, covering a popular Spice Girls number.

It came with huge bonus: His wife, Liza Diño, also got up onstage looking quite hot in a tight black dress.

We weren’t the only one wowed. Ice himself was quick to note how Liza could be considered the “sexiest” spice. We couldn’t agree more.

But we digress.

Much applauded during the concert is Ice’s effort to rework several videoke staples including the Carpenter’s “Superstar,” Abba’s “Dancing Queen,” among others.

Then there’s Ice’s goosebumps-inducing take on “I Dreamed a Dream” from “Les Miserables.”

I haven’t met anyone who actually picks such during videoke night but I guess we’ve been hanging out with the wrong crowd. As promised, fans were able to sing with Ice – onstage and off.

Yes, just like a regular videoke night with friends.

Game as they were, it was too bad they were only able to render snippets.

There were a lot more fun things that happened at the concert (tearjerkers too) but much as we would loved to share it here, we don’t want to spoil it for you. Best to catch the repeat, which is said to happen on June 1.
