Mister Universal 2018 eyes showbiz career
AFTER winning the Mister Universal Ambassador 2018 in India recently, George Reylor de Lumen is eyeing a career in show business.
This was revealed by de Lumen himself during the homecoming shindig held for him in Greenhills, San Juan recently.
“I’ve worked in several companies but show business is what my heart really wants,” says de Lumen.
At the Mister Universal Ambassador competition, de Lumen also won two special awards: Best In Speech Special Award and Best in National Costume in an outfit created by Filipino designer Michael Barassi.
Other winners in the international male competition were Agung Wira Jaya of Indonesia, 1st runner-up; and Chitsanupong Soeksiri, Thailand, 2nd runner-up.
De Lumen, 23, is a part-time model, digital artist and illustrator from Marikina City. This 6’1” hunk earned the right to represent the country in the pageant abroad when he was crowned Mr Hannah’s World Tourism Philippines 2018 at the Resorts World Manila in May.
Given the chance, de Lumen says he wants to work with movie stars Jessie Mendiola and Janella Salvador. He idolizes Jericho Rosales because
“he is an actor who can tackle serious roles.”
De Lumen says that he is going back to Indonesia to sign a contract with the Mister Universal organization and will later celebrate the holidays here.
“Then in February, I will go back to Indonesia to fulfil my responsibilities as Mister Universal Ambassador. I will be staying there longer. Hopefully, I will kick off my career there and later in the Philippines,” he says.
De Lumen, second to the eldest among 10 siblings, is not in a relationship these days. He wants to have a girlfriend who is “nice, pretty, family-oriented and God-fearing.”
