Honda to launch all-new Civic
Jazz Special Edition will also be launched on Tuesday
Honda Cars will be launching in Cebu this Tuesday the all-new Civic in an exclusive event that will be held at the Oakridge Pavilion along A.S. Fortuna St., Banilad, Mandaue City.
This follows the successful launch of the car in Manila last February 16 also following the introduction of the new Honda City last month.
The all-new Civic is the ninth generation of this very popular vehicle, which was first launched in 1973. Each generation of the Civic has featured cutting edge technology.
The latest model was developed with emphasis on being “fun to drive” and fuel efficient aside from clean and energetic styling and a smart technology interface.
The all-new Civic has an increased body rigidity, reduced weight, revised suspension settings, added insulation among other improvements to make the car truly one that is “fun to drive.”
It also has the Eco Assist technology, which would help the driver achieve better fuel economy. This same technology is used in Honda’s hybrid models.
“The Eco Assist technology consists of the ECON mode and the Eco coaching ambient meter. Engaging the ECON mode controls the engine, drive-bywire, transmission, and airconditioner to further improve the already outstanding fuel efficiency of the all new Civic,” Honda Cars Philippines stated in a press release.
“The Eco coaching ambient meter guides the driver to become more fuel efficient by measuring throttle input and displaying a blue light in the instrument panel when driving aggressively and a green light when driving in a fuel efficient manner.”
One thing that people always notice about the Civic is its styling and the exterior of the all-new Civic “shows a powerful and clear styling of the unique and dynamic mono-form body.”
The beauty outside is also matched by great looks and comfort inside.
“The interior features Honda’s first 5 inch color LCD intelligent multi-information display, or I-MID. This smart interface has in- stantly understandable information display and intuitive and easy- to- operate controls at the steering wheel. The i- MID menu shows audio and fuel consumption information and also allows the driver to customize the vehicle light settings.”
If there is one model of Honda that has become the company’s icon in the Philippines, it is the Civic and the company continues its commitment with the launch of this new model.
The launching activity will be exclusive to selected clients of BPI and BPI Family Bank as these banks will be providing auto loans at the famous BPI Auto Madness promo rates until March 1. Those who would avail of the loans can also enjoy one year free comprehensive insurance for the vehicle that would be bought.
On Wednesday, Honda Cars Cebu and Honda Cars Mandaue will have an open house that would last until March 4 in order to allow the general public to take a close look at the all-new Civic.

The Honda Jazz Special Edition will also be launched on Tuesday along with the all-new Civic.
The Jazz, which is acclaimed for its dynamic styling, spacious interior, versatile utility and a remarkable fuel economy, will have a new color and added features that would enhance driving enjoyment.
The new color, which is Fresh Lime, brings a refreshing “coolness” to the already cool vehicle.
The Jazz Special Edition will also feature a steering wheel audio control to make it easier for the driver to manipulate the car’s audio system while driving.
It will also feature a cruise control that would allow the driver to maintain speed without having to step on the gas or brakes, which is ideal for long highway driving.
The Jazz Special Edition also has a manually adjustable headlight leveling switch, which reduces headlight glare to other drivers. This is done by the system as it adjusts the headlight beam of the vehicle.
Other features are a leather steering wheel, an integrated audio system with USB connectivity, and an Upper Glove Box compartment with A/ C Link which is ideal for cooling drinks.
