A dismissed policeman was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the members of the Bogo City police station Monday afternoon.

Sandro Arriesgado, a native of Esperanza, Masbate, is said to be a “notorious drug pusher” in Barangay San Vicente, Bogo City who can dispose at least P100,000 worth of illegal drugs weekly. He is said to be on the police watch list.

Arriesgado was caught in the act of selling a pack of shabu worth P4,000 to an undercover policeman. After handing over the medium pack of shabu to the poseur buyer, Arriesgado was immediately placed under arrest.

Subsequent to his arrest, the police subjected the suspect in a body frisking resulting in the recovery of three more medium packs of shabu worth P25,000 from his possession.

The police also recovered a brown wallet with P390 cash and several identification cards including his police I. D. There were also drug paraphernalia recovered from Arriesgado’s possession.

Bogo City police chief Ceferino Tabay said that Arriesgado was placed under surveillance for about a month.

Arriesgado was dismissed from the police service in March 2005 after he went absent without official leave. His last assignment was in Mandaue City.

Criminal complaints for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of the Republic Act 9165 were filed yesterday against Arriesgado before the prosecutor’s office.
