Adlawan wins expert, pro open titles
Multi-titled Cebuano rider Jon-jon Adlawan once again showcased his mastery of the rugged terrains with finesse to sweep two titles during the fifth leg of the 1st Keiz BJ Motors and Phoenix Cyclomax Titan Invitational Motocross over the weekend at a spec
Adlawan motored his way to a golden finish in the premiere expert division as well as in the pro open category.
Adlawan bested Juvenille Abellar for the top honors in both divisions. Winsor Famorca, Cyril Tariman and Kimboy Pineda occupied the third to fifth spots in the expert, while Pineda came in third in the pro open followed by Famorca.
Despite placing only third in the expert, Tariman did not go home empty-handed as he reigned supreme in the intermediate category over Scott Remy, J.R. Barba, Martin Nunez and Wilbert Marano.
Not to be outdone, Keiz BJ Motors top honco Siegfred Ornopia also caught the fancy of the crowd after clinching the championship in the executive division limited edition after beating Jun Enriquez and Russel Gungob.
Still, Gungob has something to be happy about as he topped the executive A,.
The likes of Ray Quirol, Jan Baluyos, R.K. Cuesta, J.P. Cuesta, P.J. Galea, Denmark Supatan and Titing Sicad stole part of the show by lording it over in their respective divisions.
Quirol came out the fastest in the local enduro, Baluyos topped the beginners open production, while the Cuesta siblings dominated the mini class 65cc and 85cc, respectively.
Galea topped the peewee class, Supatan ruled the beginners selection limited edition, while Sicad bested Dandan Gastador and Islao Jocson to take home the executive B crown.
The rest of the winners were Rowel Marano (wanggits), Kenk Limpag (habal-habal), and Celso Cabrillas (habal-habal selection limited edition).
The one-day race, which added color to Pagsabungan's annual fiesta in honor of 'Our Lady of Lourdes', was supported mainly by Phoenix Petroleum Phils.,haojue Phils., Jun Mahusay and family, Reynante Tigue and WRW Enterprises.
