Mandaue SP commends police chief

- — Jose P. Sollano

The Mandaue City council has approved a resolution commending and recognizing the exemplary, noble and magnificent efforts exerted by city police chief Senior Superintendent Noel Gillamac in curving criminality and reducing the index crime in the city from 2009 to 2011.

The resolution was introduced by Mandaue City Councilor Diosdado P. Suico.

Gillamac and his staff, namely, SPO4 Arturo Menaling and PO3 Catherine Lucero appeared before the city council’s regular session last February 22.

During his appearance, Gillamac, presented a detailed comprehensive, lengthy and interesting police report chronologically arranged from the general situation, flagship, significant accomplishments on crime prevention, strategy and innovation and special concern.

The resolution said the index crime, non-index crime and crime solved, all showed significant decreases attributed by the effective crime solution efficiency.

“The most touching and heartbreaking moment was when Gillamac informed the body in a soft voice and in a seemingly teary-eyed and sobbing heart that “anytime soon, I will be leaving the Mandaue City Police Office and transfer to another assignment” because he had already completed or finished his two-year mandatory tour of duty,” the resolution said.

For all the best and good things that has been rendered honestly and diligently by Gillamac to the ever grateful Mandauehanons out of his strong determination and capability, we can afford and allow in conscience that his nobility will pass unnoticed because he deserves commendation and recognition, the resolution said.
