CEB adds 36% more seats on MLA-HK route

Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) will utilize its brand-new Airbus A330 aircraft on one of its daily ManilaHong Kong-Manila flights, from September 16 to October 4, 2013. This increases the number of available CEB seats on this route by 36%.

CEB upgraded the aircraft used for flights 5J 118/ 119 between Manila and Hong Kong, from a 180-seater Airbus A320 to a 436-seater Airbus A330 aircraft. This is scheduled after CEB accepts delivery of its 2nd Airbus A330 aircraft from Toulouse, France in September 2013.

The airline flies four times daily from Manila to Hong Kong, daily from both Clark and Cebu to Hong Kong, and twice weekly from Iloilo to Hong Kong.

“There is a great degree of interest in travel to Hong Kong, and we at Cebu Pacific want to continuous­ly stimulate this demand with our trademark lowest fares, and more flights and routes. To date, we offer guests the most number of routes to Hong Kong, providing many travelers from all over the Philippine­s fast and convenient access to this popular internatio­nal destinatio­n,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distributi­on Candice Iyog.

To further promote travel to Hong Kong, CEB holds a P999 seat sale from Manila until August 7, 2013 or until seats last. The P999 seats are for travel from September 15 to November 30, 2013.

CEB earlier announced it will operate a total of six brand-new Airbus A330 aircraft by 2015. These aircraft will be utilized for CEB’s long- haul operations, which will be launched with direct daily Manila-Dubai services on October 7, 2013.

Since its inception in 1996, CEB has flown over 75 million passengers. It also posted a good track record in stimulatin­g shorthaul travel of passengers around Asia, with an 11% system-wide passenger growth in 2012.
