The Home Development Mutual Fund , popularly known as the Pag-IBIG Fund, is set to reopen on March 18 its branch in Mandaue City to cater to its over 160,000 members in Northern Cebu.

The branch will be located on the second floor of Gaisano Capital-Casuntingan, M.L. Quezon Avenue, Barangay Casuntingan.

Pag-IBIG Fund-Cebu North used to have a branch along A.S. Fortuna Street, Bakilid, Mandaue City but was transferred to its main office at Cebu Business Park, Cebu City.

Pag-IBIG vice president for Visayas-Mindanao Members Services Branch, Victoria B. de la Peña, in a statement said, that they are now bringing the services closer to its members by opening several branches.

Last year, she said they were able to open their Mactan Branch.

“For this year, we will open the Mandaue Branch on March 18 to cater to our members from Mandaue City all the way to the northernmost part of Cebu Province,” de la Peña said.

The Mandaue branch, headed by Sara Eloisa G. Javier, will offer services relating to online/manual registration for individual members and employers; receiving of loan (multi-purpose & calamity loans) and claims applications; merging and transfer of records; check releasing; and payments.

Since the move will involve transfer of equipment and physical files from the mother branch to Mandaue, de la Peña said they will temporarily suspend their operations on March 17 and will resume the following day at their new branch.

Pag-IBIG Fund has around 700,000 members in Cebu.—-
