UP Open University accepts applicants for SY 2014-2015
The University of the Philippines Open University is now accepting applicants for the first semester of School Year 2014 to 2015.
Deadline for submission of applications is on March 29 for programs with admission exams like the Master of Public Management (with majors in Public Policy and Program Administration; Local Governance and Regional Administration and Voluntary Sector Management) and the PhD in Education with specializations in Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Deadline for application for admission for the program Doctor of Communication is also on March 29.
Applications for all other programs may be sent until April 26. Forms are downloadable from www.upou.edu.ph and are also available at the UP Open University Learning Center, Cebu located at Room 134,Arts and Science Building, UP? Cebu, Lahug, Cebu City.
UPOU is the fifth constituent unit of the University of the Philippines System. UPOU provides access to continuing education for people who are unable to attend classroom learning due to work, family and location. It aims to open education opportunities through distance education.
UPOU offers the following post baccalaureate programs: Diploma in Science Teaching major in Physics, Biology and Chemistry; Diploma in Mathematics Teaching; Diploma in Social Studies Education; Diploma in Language and Literacy Education; Master of Arts in Education ( Social Studies) and Master of Arts in Education (Language and Literacy Education); Diploma in Research and Development Management; Diploma and Master in Environment and Natural Resources Management; Master of Arts in Nursing; Diploma and Master in Land Valuation Management; Diploma and Masters in International Health; Diploma in Computer Science; Master of Development Communication; Master of Information Systems and the Doctor of Communication.
For the undergraduate program, UPOU offers trimestral basis for Associate in Arts; Bachelor of Arts in Multi Media Studies and Bachelor of Education Studies. Deadline for application for admission for the second trimester, SY 2014 – 2015 is on June 28.
