Lawless elements have victimized a regional trial court (RTC) judge, a ceramic and glass kitchenware distributor, and hardware store last week, stealing at least P1.1 million worth of cash and valuables.

Lapu- Lapu City RTC Judge Victor Teves told the police somebody got inside his house in Labangon, Cebu City Friday morning and took P225,000 worth of jewelry and other items.

He said the burglar most likely struck between 5 a. m. to 7: 30 a. m. by scaling the concrete fence and detaching the window screen.

Teves lost a Samsung Galaxy Note ( P20,000), a MyPhone cellphone, identification cards, ATM and credit cards, reward cards, a bracelet ( P120,000), a set of earrings and ring ( P75,000) and another ring worth P10,000.

Personnel from the PNP Scene of the Crime Operatives have already checked the crime scene for possible latent prints of the perpetrator.

In another incident, Carolina Gallego, distributor and supplier of ceramics and glass kitchenwares of Raffles and Company, Inc., has accused her personal secretary of 25 years of taking from her P480,000 cash and P250,000 worth of gold jewelry.

She said Angela Papal, whom she considered already as part of her family, abused her thrust by stealing her money and valuables.

Meanwhile, what was intended as salary for employees of Alliance Hardware, Inc. ended up in the hands of a lone robber, who struck while the store’s payroll was being prepared around 3: 45 p. m. last Saturday.

The police said that while the accounting office of the store, located at Legaspi Extension, Barangay San Roque, Cebu City, was preparing for the salary of the employees, an unknown person with a knapsack entered and approached the accountant Geodofreda Demecillo.

The person then pulled out a gun and pointed it on Demecillo’s head before taking P168,000 that he placed inside his bag.

On his way out, the man allegedly also took the iPhone 5s of assistant finance manager Joanne Mae Lim and the iPhone 3GS of collector Marlitz Noval.

Joanne was the sister of Jennifer Lim, who manages the hardware store.

The victims described the suspect who fled on a parked motorcycle, to be around 5’ 4” in height, of medium build, and had a dark complexion.

On the same day, an unknown thief also victimized Botikang Pinoy Pharmacy along N. Bacalso Ave. in Cebu City, hiding himself from the CCTV camera by blocking it with a cardboard.

Pharmacy manager Jeanne Rose Tiodianco told the police that while doing an inventory, they discovered that there was a hole big enough for a man to pass through in one wall of their storage room.

The inventory showed that four nebulizer machines worth P1,800 were missing.
