Renowned Tokyo DJ heats up Ibiza Beach Club

Think sand, surf, music and beautiful people all in one spectacula­r evening. Last March 8, DJ Daiki Wakabayash­i and his celebrity DJ friends from Japan returned to Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu and performed for a one-night beach party experience at the hotel’s ultimate party venue, The Ibiza Beach Club.

Party- loving city dwellers escaped to Mactan Island’s finest beachfront hotel for an eventful day of high- octane beats and unique signature mixes from featured DJ’s Daiki Wakabayash­i, Ariki, Kamiyama Seigo, U- Kic a. k. a Yuuki Yoshiyama, and OGaMixxX.

There were more than 700 guests in attendance including Cebu’s fashionabl­e elite including Mia Arcenas, Budoy, Manman Osmeña, Dominic and Karla Alegrado, Cacay Moras and Tiny Go to name a few.

Featured DJ Daiki Wakabayash­i played everything in his personal arsenal including Hurricanes (original mix), The Roof is on Fire (original mix) Find You feat. Matthew Koma & Miriam Bryant (original extended mix) and Live for the Night (original mix).

DJ Daiki is a highlyskil­led DJ and plays globally in Japan and beyond. He is a resident DJ in Tokyo of Ministry of Sound, one of the world’s largest record labels based in London. He is also the producer of Crystal House, a fashion party which has brought together 1,000 people every month in Shibuya and has developed nationwide.

As for music production, he works under the name of DAIKI×ZK. He covers and remixes the world’s top artists such as Lady Gaga, LMFAO, Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry and Avril Lavigne.

Organized by Cebu .20z, this luxurious event started early with sunset beats at 4:30 p.m., back-toback DJ performanc­es, and fireworks until late in the evening. The beach party was hosted by Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu in cooperatio­n with Cebu Pot and United Regrowth.
