Metro stores hold 5-day summer sale for Holy Week

As everyone prepares for the Holy Week, the Metro Retail Group will offer a special 5-Day Summer Sale in all Metro Department Stores and Super Metro hypermarkets on April 9 to 13.

This is in response to demands from customers who missed the recent Awesome 5-Day Sale of the retail chain, according to Cesar Jose Jesena, vice president for marketing and retail development.

With the special sale, the Metro stores will bring another batch of different but still great selections of up to 50 percent off, especially on items most useful in the days going towards Holy Week and after.

One could save P5,500 for buying during these days a 40-inch Devant LED TV for only P19,450, down from a regular price of P24,950, according to Enbee Tagalog, the marketing manager.

It’s also a savings of P2,400 for a 32-inch Devant LED TV that is offered only at P11,550, down from the usual P13,950, she added.

There are several items useful for summer whose prices have also been significantly slashed down, disclosed Tagalog.

These include a charcoal barbecue grill that yields P574 in savings with its price reduced from P1,369 to P795, and a camping tent for six persons that has been cut from P1,199 to only P849, a savings of P350, she added.

A 4.2-liter Cooper round cooler is now offered at P550, down from P699.75, while a 1-liter water jug with the same brand is also now pegged at P150 from P199.75.

A colorful ladies' sando is also now priced at P99 from P139.

“Summer is getting too hot,” quipped Tagalog. “Metro will help you cool down.”

“It has been part of our system at the Metro to respond to what the customers would very likely need at a given time of the year,” she pointed out.

Joining the pre-Holy Week 5-day Summer Sale are the department stores at Metro Colon, Metro Ayala, Metro Mandaue, Metro Naga, and Metro Plaza Toledo.

The Super Metro stores at Colon and Basak San Nicolas in Cebu City, as well as those in Lapu-Lapu City and Bogo City, will also participate in the sale and put forward enticing offers.
