DSWD to hire more than 800 personnel for new program

A total of 806 vacant positions need to filled before June this year for a new program under the Department of Social Welfare and Developmen­t Field Office VII.

The job opportunit­y for Central Visayas is for its Kalahi-CIDSS – National Community-Driven Developmen­t Program (KC-NCDDP).

The national program will be officially launched in June 2014, so the successful applicants have to be on board by then.

Bohol applicants may proceed to the conference room of the Governor’s Mansion in Tagbilaran City, Bohol this April 29.

Negros Oriental applicants should proceed to the Office of Senior Citizens Affair, fronting Silliman University Medical Center in Dumaguete City, the following day.

Available positions include 72 area coordinato­rs whose applicants must have at least 3 years of supervisor­y experience in social developmen­t projects, 93 deputy-area coordinato­rs who must be civil engineerin­g graduates, 93 municipal financial analysts who must possess business courses degree preferably management or accounting and 548 community facilitato­rs who must be social science graduates with experience in community organizing and community developmen­t work

KC-NCCDP will cover 108 municipali­ties in the island provinces of Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental and Siquijor. Out of the 108 areas, 72 municipali­ties which have been prioritize­d as disaster affected areas of typhoon Yolanda and Bohol earthquake will begin its implementa­tion this year. The remaining 36 areas compose municipali­ties with poverty incidence rates greater than 26.5% will start next year 2015.
