Siblings recently figured in separate trouble alarms in Sitio Soong, Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.

In a dumpsite in Sitio Soong, Elvin Casinillo, 18, stabbed his brother Eduardo Casinillo on Wednesday morning. Both work as garbage collector at the dumpsite, together with their uncle Nestor.

Police Officer Allan Pantaleon of Lapu-Lapu City Police Office - Crimes Against Persons Desk reported that based on their initial investigation, Eduardo and Elvin were collecting garbage around 6 a.m. along with their uncle.

While collecting garbage, Elvin confronted Eduardo and asked about the earnings of their compiled garbage in the area but his brother did not bother to entertain him. This caused an argument to spark between the siblings.

In the middle of the disagreement, Elvin got irritated and suddenly pulled out a bladed weapon that was tucked in his waist and stabbed Eduardo twice in the lower back portion of his body.

The suspect fled away while the wounded Eduardo was immediately rushed to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Hospital by the responding Emergency and Rescue Unit Foundation.

Earlier, police responded to another alarm in the mentioned sitio as intoxicated brothers figured in an argument Sunday evening.

The brothers were identified as Danny Montecillo, 36, and Rey Montecillo, 27.

The investigation was led by Police Officers Jade Querubin and Luisito Ernie of homicide section.

Police said that prior to the dispute, the two were having separate drinking sessions with different set of friends around 10:15 p.m. When the two went home drunk, they got into an argument about their personal matters.

At the height of their conversation, Rey got irritated, picked a glass and smashed it on Danny's head. The suspect's anger caused him to beat his brother's head with the use of a wood.

Danny, who got injured, managed to escape from the attack of his angry brother by stabbing him with the use of a bladed weapon hitting Rey's left leg.

Both were immediately brought to VSMMC by the responding ERUF. —
