Eva Mendes pregnant with Ryan Gosling
Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are expecting a baby together, People magazine confirms. US Weekly OK magazine (which first reported the news) allege that the 40-year-old actress is seven months along. Reps for both stars have yet to comment.
Rumors that Mendes had a baby on board first surfaced in February when she supposedly told TSA officials at Los Angeles International Airport that she didn’t want to go to through the body scan at security because she was pregnant.
A rep for the actress denied this at the time, saying, “She has never gone through the scanners at the airport, she has always elected to be hand checked instead.”
In May, speculation that Mendes and Gosling were on the rocks went into overdrive when she was MIA from the Cannes Film Festival for his directorial debut f “Lost River,” which she happens to star in as well.
Although the pair haven’t been photographed together since last fall, Gosling gave a subtle clue that same month that the couple was still going strong when he attended the premiere of “White Shadows” wearing a “Hugo” necklace, which happens to be the name of Mendes’ dog.
Gosling and Mendes met on set of “The Place Beyond the Pines” in 2011, but have both been incredibly tight-lipped about their relationship. This will be the first child for both.
Before she hooked up with Gosling, Mendes had been in a nine-year relationship with filmmaker George Augusto. Gosling dated Sandra Bullock in 2002 for a little over a year and Rachel McAdams from 2005 to 2007 (they briefly reconciled in 2008).
The heartthrob said in 2011, “I’d like to be making babies but I’m not, so I’m making movies. When someone comes along I don’t think I’ll be able to do both and I’m fine with that. I’ll make movies until I make babies. I have no idea when the handover will happen.”
