Four people including a woman and an alleged bigtime drug pusher were arrested in separate anti-drug operations of police in Cebu City yesterday morning.

In A. Lopez Street, Barangay Calamba, suspected bigtime drug pusher Atillano Cuizon Jr. was arrested after more than P400,000 worth of suspected shabu were confiscated from his possession.

Operatives of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group headed by Senior Inspector Eunil Avergonzado were armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Wilfredo Navarro of the Regional Trial Court Branch 19 in Cebu City when they raided Cuizon’s house in sitio Mahayahay at past 4 a.m. yesterday.

Police recovered six medium-sized packs of suspected shabu, a snub nose cal. 38 revolver with four live ammunition and a coin purse with P2,300 cash believed to be proceeds of the subject’s illegal drug transactions.

Police also found inside Cuizon’s house 20-year-old John Edward Cuizon with four small packs of suspected shabu in possession and Paterno Cabrera, 26, with five small packs of the same substance and P333. The two were also arrested.

Atillano was placed under a month-long surveillance after police received reports of his involvement in supplying as well as in selling drugs.

Tomorrow, a case for drug sale and possession will be filed against Atillano and a case for drug possession against John Edward and Cabrera.

Meanwhile, Carbon Police arrested 33year-old Juliefe Tulin by virtue of a search warrant at her house in Ermita Proper, Barangay Ermita at 7 a.m. yesterday.

The police seized from Tulin’s possession three medium-sized and 17 small packs or some P30,000 worth of suspected shabu, some reportedly found among statues of saints.

“Narekober ni nato ang ubang mga drugs gibutang sa mga santos,” said Senior Police Officer 1 Artemio Tumakay.

The police, who were armed with a search warrant also issued by Judge Navarro, further seized drug paraphernalia and P800 cash inside the suspect’s house.

Tumakay said that Tulin, whom they placed under two-week surveillance, has been into the illegal drug trade for a year now.

Tulin belied the accusations and denied owning the drugs.
