Last Valentine's Day, I remembered the 10 common excuses used by lovers. 1) I got a headache. 2) I'm not in the mood. 3) My back hurts. 4) The people in the next room might hear us. 5) I can't --not here in my mother's house. 6) Listen, it's not like sex is all that's important to a marriage anyway.

*** I was listening and watching former PNP Chief Purisima being questioned by the senators about the Mamasapano incident. There were some questions he could not easily answer. Then I remembered what Mark Twain said: "When in doubt, tell the truth."

*** VP Jojo Binay is looking up amid talks about PNoy being asked to step down and also amid the alleged brewing of a coup. So apparently happy is Jojo about the current political development he has started eyeing as vice presidential running mate Mar Roxas.

*** Reynaldo Antipuesto, an auto mechanic in Toronto, Canada, says in his e-mail: "Some bright guys want Noynoy to step down. If he does will that bring the Phl to a bright future?" I haven't answered him yet. But he went on to ask a second time: "You think Binay or any aspiring senators can command more respect and trust than Noynoy can from the world's heads of state?"
