Husband stabs wife’s ex-bf

A man who was visiting his children with his ex-girlfriend ended up at the hospital after the husband of the latter stabbed him several times in Barangay Tisa, Cebu City Saturday afternoon.

Rolando Tudtud, 32, of Sitio Tambisan in Barangay Labangon, suffered multiple stab wounds when the husband of his ex-girlfriend, Liza Balcon, stabbed him in the different parts of his body.

The husband, identified as Toto Balcon, was nowhere to be found after the incident. He reportedly left the house with his son, Janjan Balcon.

Police Officer 1 Errick Samosa said they are eyeing jealousy as the motive of the crime.

Samosa said Liza was first married to Toto before she met Rolando. Liza reportedly left Toto and lived with Rolando and had two children with him.

After 10 years, Liza reportedly broke up with Rolando and went back to her legal husband.

Initial investigat­ion revealed that at 1:15 in the afternoon, Tudtud went to the house of the Balcons to visit his children who are under Liza’s custody.

However, when he arrived at the house, Toto appeared, armed with a kitchen knife and without a word, allegedly attacked and stabbed Rolando in several parts of his body

Toto immediatel­y took off together with his son.

The victim was able to shield himself from the attack with the use of his hands which saved him from suffering fatal wounds. He was immediatel­y brought to the Cebu City Medical Center.

Meanwhile, two people were shot dead in Talisay City on Saturday.

Jhon Rey Cabuenas, 34, of San Isidro, Talisay City, was on his way to a certain Jacky Chan’s house but was shot several times by an unknown suspect in Barangay Tangke, Talisay City past 11 p.m..

He was brought to the hospital but the attending physician declared him dead on arrival.

He suffered two gunshot wounds in his left chest, one in his left shoulder and two in his right ankle.

Nobody from the area where Cabuenas was shot was able to identify the suspect who immediatel­y fled on foot after shooting the victim.

A 45-year-old man also died after being shot in his head while driving in Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City past 5 p.m.

Ruel Asibes, of Sitio Katugasan, Perrolos, Carcar City, died after he was hit by a single bullet in his head.

Initial Investigat­ion revealed that the victim was driving a multicab, possibly coming from Cebu City, and was heading to the south.

When the victim reached Barangay Tabunok, an unidentifi­ed suspect, who was reportedly tailing him with a motorcycle, drove alongside him and shot him.

He was hit in the left side of the head and the bullet exited through the right portion of his head.

The mutlicab hit and stopped at the center island of the road while the gunman sped away.

Asibes was immediatel­y brought to the Talisay City Disctrict Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
