A total beauty and wellness hub opened in Cebu to catch up with the growing demand from both tourists and local residents.

The Dychangco Group of Companies has invested at least P3 million to establish a one-stop-shop beauty and wellness center at the family's estate located in Nivel Hills, Cebu City expanding the existing Leisure Spa facility to offer a salon called "The Lab", a fitness gym, and healthy food choices that prepares organic salad and health-friendly menu at their Dolce Cafe.

The 800 square-meter beauty and wellness hub, aims to strengthen Cebu's bid of becoming a preferred wellness destination in the Philippines, by providing sophisticated services and products in this sector, said Leisure Spa and the Lab chief operating officer Holly Dawn Dychangco,

“We are launching a one-stop beauty and wellness facility that aims to stimulate the locals quest of a healthier and more beautiful lifestyle at an affordable price,” said Dychangco.

The hub also pioneers the introduction of vanity destination for families, as the company offers services that are designed for children, as well as fathers.

The salon is not only open to adults for they also have beauty services for kids.

“They can pamper themselves at the spa and the salon, sweat at the gym and later on dine at our nearby restaurants, which offers various dishes including the ‘healthy eats’ to complement the lifestyle,” she said.

Dychangco, an architect by profession, said that the health, beauty, and wellness is a global trend.

"We see it in social media and in various sports activities that are mounted in Cebu. On our part, we’d like to offer this ‘ worldwide experience’ in our hometown,” Dychango said.

As a Cebuana, she said the business is built and conceptualized based on Cebuanos' high regard for quality at affordable cost.

Regular full body massage at The Leisure Spa costs P300 while day-use of their fitness gym is at P150.

“We intend to keep our services affordable because we want more locals to get into this health and wellness direction,” she said.

Dychangco believes that if Cebu is one of the preferred destinations for health and wellness enthusiasts, she has no doubt that the growing middle-class and even the mainstream market in the Cebu is now up for incorporating wellness to their budget necessity.

She said "vanity" has become part of one's lifestyle regimen. This paradigm shift she said has already become popular not only for the affluent group but covers across market segments.
