An argument over jeepney fare ended badly for two siblings after one ended in the hospital and suffered critical injuries when his older brother allegedly stabbed him inside their residence at Sitio Kalinaw, Barangay Luz, Cebu City Saturday night.

Allan Selerio, 43, is in critical condition after suffering a stab wound on his stomach allegedly inflicted by his brother, Jose, 45.

Police Officer 1 Reoful Adalim of the Cebu City Police Office Homicide Section said Allan and Jose both attended a party just around Cebu City Saturday night.

Adalim said Jose was given money by the host of the party for their PUJ fare so they can return home.

However, Jose allegedly kept the money so he and his brother had a long walk on their way back home.

When they arrived home, Allan found out about the money and got angry which resulted to a heated argument between the two.

Adalim said out of anger, Allan allegedly took a baseball bat and tried to strike Jose, hitting him on the hands.

This allegedly provoked Jose so he went to the kitchen and got a kitchen knife. Jose stabbed Allan once in the stomach. The victim was immediately brought to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center for medical attention.

Jose voluntarily surrendered to the tanods of Barangay Luz.
