Iya Villania plays supervisor for a day

-

Iya Villania-Arellano describes herself as loyal and practical— something she has proven in love and in life.

The TV host has been in a relationship with fellow TV host Drew Arellano for almost 10 years before getting married last year, and has been the face of Watsons Switch and Save since the beginning.

She says being in a longterm relationship with Drew made adjusting to married life easy and the biggest challenge she’s had so far is managing their household. It’s a good thing that the former MYX VJ is also a practical shopper.

Iya made a surprise visit at SM City Cebu last Saturday, making the switch from host to store supervisor for a day, giving shopping tips and assisting Watsons customers with their purchases.

“I’ve been a Watsons label endorser since 2013. The experience so far has been rewarding because I’ve been a regular customer even before that,” says Iya.

“One thing I like about Watsons is that they have great quality products that saves you from 30 to 80 percent as compared to other brands. So you don’t have to scrimp on the essentials anymore and these are the things we are always buying regularly.”

Iya’s picks mostly include Watsons toiletries as well as wet and dry tissues which she often uses for work. To avoid those bad hair days she also keeps several Watsons hair products in her bag such as Watsons 3IN1 Hair Set, Watsons Round Curl Hair Brush and a Watsons Travel Hair Dryer.

Her favorite Watsons product, however, is something not many women know about and is actually one of the best discoveries she’s had while shopping at Watsons— Footease!

“I’m not really much into wearing heels except for work so I really love Watsons Footease gel cushions as they make my feet so much comfortable and make those long hours in heels more bearable!” shares Iya.

Like fellow Switch and Save ambassadors Patty Laurel, Tessa Prieto-Valdes and Christian Bautista, Iya says she’s become more practical with her purchases, which eventually helped her save for more trips abroad.

Iya says she was able to save and spend her savings on other things, like bags and travels. But more than shopping for what she wants, she has proven that Watsons Label has the same quality as the branded ones.

Iya says she also appreciates the working relationship she has developed with the brand. “They are so accommodating and kind, and the fact that they’ve decided to keep me, takes it to a personal level,” Iya adds.

A weekend staycation, that much deserved out of town trip or that shiny new gadget you’ve been eyeing for months—like Iya, now you don’t have to scrimp on your personal essentials to get the things you want as Watsons intensifies its Switch and Save campaign.

From personal care items, beauty essentials, and even medicine, Asia’s leading personal care store now offers a wider variety of products under its own label, giving smart shoppers the choice to save as much as 80 percent without compromising on quality.
