2006 Fury, 1988 Barakos win in NABC caging

The 2006 Fury scored another huge win, the 1993 Dragons won without shedding a bead of sweat, and the 1988 Barakos-Univille handed the Mighty Geeks their first loss in four games. That was how the games of the 1st USC North Alumni Basketball Conference (NABC) came along last Saturday at the USC North Campus gym.

In Division 3, the 2006 Fury defeated the 2010 Pioneers, 78-60, to improve their record to 3-2.

Justin de los Reyes scored a game-high 33 points for Fury, while Giovanni Padillo and Jess Kharlo Minoza added 18 and 10 points, respectively.

The Pioneers were led by Floyd Herrera with 16 points, even as Edrick Villlas and Lloyd Ceniza had 13 and 12 points as they fell to 2-2.

On the other hand, the 1988 Barakos-Univille went to the deadly troika of Alvin Tajanlangit, Dindo Sauza and Hanzel Fick to pull off a 68-55 win over the Mighty Geeks in Division 1.

Tajanlangit finished with 20 points, Sauza had 18 and Fick scored 14 as the Barakos notched their third win against only one loss. Their first and only loss came from the hands of the 1993 Dragons, who bettered their record to 3-1 after winning by default over the 1980 Chargers.
