Sarrosa targets MICE market

-

Sarrosa International Hotel and Residential Suites positions itself to get a considerable chunk of the growing MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Exhibits) events from local and foreign corporate accounts.

This after the hotel, which is built by Duracon Construction, Inc., and managed by Pacific Heights International, Inc., completed the renovation and expansion of hotel amenities, like function rooms in preparation for the influx of more events.

In an interview with Sarrosa International Hotel and Residential Suites resident manager Jun A. Perocillo III, he said that the promising tourism and events or MICE business in Cebu, prompted the company to invest on the expansion of its function rooms and other amenities to keep its competitive advantage.

Sarrosa International Hotel is one of the leading accommodation facilities in Cebu that has cornered the market of high-profile government events as well as captured a sizeable market share of long-staying guests through its 50-unit residential suites. Apart from that, the hotel is also bent on taking a fair share of the lucrative corporate MICE market.

Perocillo said the hotel just recently completed the expansion of its function room facilities including the additional ballroom with a capacity of at least 500 people, and 11 event rooms designed to accommodate mini-MICE events.

He further said that the hotel is bullish to accommodate the local and international MICE bookings as well as the upbeat individual business and leisure travelers, through its strong connection with online booking agents, like Agoda, among others.
