Almost P800T drugs seized

Authoritie­s confiscate­d close to P800,000 worth of drugs in separate operations in the province over the weekend.

A suspected drug pusher with P600,000 worth of suspected shabu was arrested by the police in a buybust operation Saturday night in Barangay Lamac, Pinamungaj­an town.

The cops arrested Allan Villaneso Ulindang, 32, of Barangay Lamac, Pinamungaj­an, who is said to be a level 3 drug pusher and can dispose at least 20 grams or P100,000 worth of shabu a week.

The operation was supervised by Inspector Gilfred Baroman, chief of Police of Pinamungaj­an town.

Ulindang allegedly sold a pack of suspected shabu worth P200 to a police poseur-buyer.

The police officers confiscate­d at least 52 grams of suspected shabu from the suspect placed in 10 large plastic packs valued at P613,600.

Ulindang is included in the station's priority list under the Oplan Lambat Sibat.

In Barangay Tayud, Liloan town, police responded to a report of an armed man who later yielded over P100,000 worth of suspected shabu.

Police Officer 3 Jason Gayo, desk officer of Liloan Police Station, identified the suspect as Pios Anthony Baklay, 25, of Sitio Fatima, Barangay Jubay, Liloan town.

Gayo said past 1 p.m. on Saturday, they got a telephone call from a concerned citizen reporting an armed person at Sitio Lamac, Tayud.

Police officers were immediatel­y dispatched to the area to check the veracity of the report.

The authoritie­s then saw a man who fit the descriptio­n of the caller and saw that he was bringing a caliber .38 revolver with live bullets in the cartridge.

When the police officers asked him if he has a license for the firearm, he could not present any, thus he was placed under arrest.

When Baklay was frisked, they recovered from him two large packs and two small packs of suspected shabu.

The confiscate­d shabu weighed 10 grams valued at P 118,000.

Meanwhile, a call center agent trainee was arrested by Parian Police on Easter Sunday in a checkpoint operation after yielding drug parapherna­lia.

Led by police senior inspector Genilo Veraque, chief of Parian Police Station, Jared Rien Garban, 29, a native of Carlos P. Garcia Avenue, Tagbilaran City, Bohol, and presently residing at Salinas Drive, Barangay Lahug, Cebu City was arrested.

Garban allegedly had with him one piece of empty disposable syringe and one piece of broken empty ampoule of ASHTEC brand locally known as nubain.

In a separate operation, Kim Gabijan, 23, and Edlyn Labitad, 30, both residents of Sitio Mohon, Barangay Sapangdako, Guadalupe, were arrested on Black Saturday at 10:45 p.m. for violation of Republic Act 10591 and the Comelec Gun Ban and Pambansa Bilang 6.

The two were arrested in a checkpoint at M. Velez Street, Barangay Capitol Site. Gabijan and Labitad were onboard a motorcycle and allegedly tried to evade the checkpoint by making a U-turn, but were flagged down by the police.

Gabijan and Labitad reportedly looked uneasy when they were asked to present their official receipt and certificat­e of registrati­on.

The police then saw a gun replica tucked in the waist of Labitad while ice picks were tucked in the waist of Gabijan.
