Have they reflected?

-

finger- pointing once again, all pointing to Deguito.

The search goes on for Weikang Xu, the casino junket operator who received millions in cash from Philrem supposedly upon orders from Deguito. Then there is the issue of the twenty million pesos in cash supposedly placed in Deguito's or William Go's car, depending whom you ask. As for t he four who supposedly opened accounts at RCBC, they are in the wind.

Holy Week has come and gone. The faithful are supposed to use this time to reflect on the l ast days of Christ, and his ultimate sacrifice to set mankind free from sin. It will be too much for me to hope that the principal persons in this money laundering scam have had a chance to reflect and finally tell the real truth. That the money they allegedly facilitated in reaching the hands of criminals came from an impoverished country. At this point it may also be too much to hope that the money can still be recovered, aside from the ten million plus pesos Philrem was willing to return to the Bangladeshi government.

But isn't that what the resurrection story is all about, hope?

‘Many do not actually believe

that only these two were involved, being almost at the bottom rungs of the corporate ladder. They are actually seen as

fall guys or scapegoats.’
