Continuing to address the need to be relevant to its members, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry is actively conducting trainings and seminars for the enhancement of the skills and abilities of the entrepreneurs and their employees.
All year round, the Chamber schedules such activities and invites its members to participate in them.
LEAN AND GREEN PROGRAM
Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, AFOS Foundation and the Cebu Food Consultancy Group through the OUR Food Program will be conducting a Lean and Green Awareness seminar on October 21, 1:00 pm at Golden Prince Hotel & Suites.
This Lean and Green program will help businesses increase revenue by reducing business costs without sacrificing speed and quality.
It is applicable to all types of businesses such as Food Processing, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing, Import and Export, BPO Technology and others.
Participants will understand about “Lean Six Sigma” which is an approach that combines Six Sigma methods and tools and the lean manufacturing/ lean enterprise philosophy striving to eliminate waste of physical resources, time, effort and talent, while assuring quality in production and organizational processes.

EMPLOYEE RETENTION SEMINAR
Employees are valuable assets in an organization and creating a positive workplace environment for them begins with having a set of effective employee retention strategies.
This is why Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) through its Business Development and Management Services Division (BDMSD) in partnership with Front Gate Human Resource Consultancy have organized an “Employee Retention and Motivation seminar” on November 8 at Golden Prince Hotel and Suites.
This is the second module under the chamber’s four modular sessions on Human Resource Management.
At the end of this one day seminar, HR managers, officers and personnel will know and understand the factors that motivate employees in the workplace as well as they will learn strategies on how to create and implement an effective employee retention program.
Regular rate to join in the 4 modular sessions is Php 10,000, but 10 percent discount is given for CCCI members. The first module entitled “The Basics of HR Management” seminar will be held next week on October 25.
