Vice President Leni Robredo will be in town tomorrow to visit three centers for women and children in Cebu City.

She, however, will fly back to Manila on the same day and would not be joining any Sinulog-related event.

As this developed, President Rodrigo Duterte will also be here in Cebu to further advance his campaign objective to change the country's form of government to a federal one.

Robredo is expected to visit the Women's Correctional Center and the Operation Second Chance in Barangay Kalunasan Saturday morning.

Gabriel Cruz, Robredo's liaison officer in the Visayas, said Robredo will also hold a press conference with Cebu media at 11 a.m. inside Operation Second Chance.

After the press con, Robredo will proceed to Pagtambayayong Foundation in the downtown Cebu, before returning for Manila on the same day.

Duterte, for his part, will be here in Cebu on January 21 to grace the opening salvo of the People's National Movement for Federalism (PeNamFed).

Dr. Rowena Burden, who is one of those organizing the events, said PeNamFed Secretary-General Jovi Zarate will hold a press conference at 10:30 a.m. today at the Crown Regency Suites in Barangay Guadalupe to discuss further details of the presidential visit as well as the event itself.

Duterte and Robredo, both won as president and vice president, respectively, in Cebu during the May 2016 national and local elections.
