The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is continuously strengthening its ties with its partners in promoting competitiveness, sustainability, and prosperity.

Aside from this, in pursuit of once again opening its doors to an opportunity of bringing businesses to the next level is the much anticipated Cebu Business Month 2017.

STEP UP CEBU This year’s Cebu Business Month (CBM) celebration will have the theme: “STEP Up Cebu.” This stands for Stepping Up Technology Entrepreneurship and Productivity for the Upliftment of Cebu.

This month-long flagship project of the Chamber, aims to reach out to the different sectors, organizations, and individuals as well as businesses through a series of activities.

One of the activities is a three-day Entrepreneurship Conference and Expo and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) 2017 Regional Invention Contest and Exhibit.

Another highlight of CBM 2017 is Lumbag Laag sa Sugbo: A Race to Cebu’s Hidden Attractions. The race is aimed to underline Cebu as a tourist destination that offers a lot of hidden attractions worthy to be explored.

Through CBM 2017’s programs, CCCI intends to contribute to the competitive advantage of Cebu in the global economy, thereby, propelling Cebu businesses to catalyze inclusive growth in the region.

The CBM App is expected to launch on Feb. 24 during the CCCI General Membership Meeting.

CHINESE SPRING FESTIVAL The CCCI Board of Trustees led by President, Melanie Ng joined the Chinese Consulate headed by Consul General Shi Yong in celebration of the Chinese Spring Festival last January 20 at the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu.

The Chinese Spring Festival, with over 4,000 years of history, is perceived to be the grandest and most important annual event for the Chinese Community.

The event is a "Buena mano" milestone of CCCI this year 2017 for strengthening the capabilities of its members through linkages with international dignitaries.
