Professors from Coventry University (CU) in England came to Cebu on March 20 to 24 for the University of San Carlos (USC) SenseDev 2017 lecture series.
SenseDev is an annual learning activity organized by the USC Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. It consists of lectures and hands-on training using TinyOS programming.
TinyOS is an embedded, component-based operating system and platform for lowpower wireless devices, such as those used in wireless sensor networks.
SenseDev 2017 held at the USC Library Resource Center had Dr. James Brusey, a CU senior lecturer and director of the Cogent Computing Applied Research Centre, and Prof. Elena Gaura, associate dean for CU research and chairman of the UK Wireless Intelligent Sensing Interest Group.
Dr. Ross Wilkins, a senior research assistant in CU’s Cogent Labs and regular paper reviewer for IEEE Sensors and International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks also came as one of the speakers.
Faculty, students and researchers from the USC community, as well as those from other universities, attended the series, as well as graduate and post-graduate students who have background in programming, as C.
