Johndorf breaks ground for Tierra Nava in Carcar

-

Johndorf Ventures Corp. (JVC) continues its aggressive expansion as it broke grounds for another subdivision in Cebu, this time in the mid-southern city of Carcar.

The company invested P500 million for Tierra Nava, located in the high plains of Sitio Dapdap, Poblacion III where 655 townhouses for economic and middle-class families ranging from P890,000 to P1.4 million each will rise.

JVC chief executive officer Richard D. Lim led the groundbreaking ceremonies with the company’s managing director Abigail Lim, chief operating officer Jimmy Alvarez and construction management director Eng’r. Raymond Lim.

Johndorf started the development of Tierra Nava just days after it broke grounds for Evissa, another P500 million project of 492 townhouses within Johndorf Communities, its 24-hectare township in Calawisan, Lapu-Lapu City.

The company is also slated to launch yet another project, this time in Cebu City, plus three more in key cities in southern Philippines, according to Michele Chiu - Bacungan, JVC sales and marketing manager.

The project in Carcar, 42 kilometers south of Cebu City, is the first venture of JVC outside Metro Cebu aimed at providing residents in the southern half of the province an option to settle halfway between their place of origin and the metropolis.

Being at the crossroads of Cebu south, those from the first, second and seventh districts of the province can opt to settle in Tierra Nava (New Land) and help decongest the urban center, noted Bacungan.

Carcar belongs to the industrial corridor of Cebu south, adjacent to San Fernando and near Naga City that host various industrial companies that employ hundreds of employees.

Part of Cebu’s first district, it is noted to have a significant number of families who depend on overseas Filipino workers, Bacungan shared.

“They now have the option to live in affordable 2-storey Asian-themed townhouses away from the hassles and bustles of city life but in the tranquility of countryside living,” she said.

With a floor area of 36-square-meters that stand on a 42-sqm lot, each townhouse look similar to those in Astana and Navona, sold-out projects in Johndorf Communities Calawisan, and the upcoming Evissa.

Residents will enjoy Johndorf’s trademark amenities as a functional clubhouse, a standard basketball court, and open spaces for playing and gathering.

Eng’r. Lim said his team aims to complete Tierra Nava by mid-2019. “We should be able to turn over the first tranche of townhouses by last quarter of 2018,” he said.
