The most wanted person for robbery in Bogo City has been arrested for alleged swindling in Barangay Poblacion Oriental, Consolacion town on Friday.

Police Chief Inspector Roderick Gonzalez, Chief of Consolacion police, said that Clifford Tamayo, 19, and his cohorts allegedly introduced themselves as installers of Globe Telecom to Meghan Pialago, a resident of Barangay Tugbongan, Consolacion who happens to be a Globe subscriber.

The suspects reportedly persuaded the victim to replace and upgrade her existing modem. After they got hold of Pialago's modem, they allegedly promised to return as soon as possible to install the upgraded unit. But the suspects never came back. Police found out later that the three have been blacklisted from Globe. They also learned from Bogo police that Tamayo has a pending warrant of arrest for a robbery case.

Police authorities quickly conducted a hot pursuit operation against the suspects, and later arrested Tamayo in City Mall Consolacion while his two cohorts, Niño Tamayo and Adrian Bernadez, managed to escape.

Seized from Tamayo were Globe brochures and fake identification cards, a Globe T-shirt, cable wires, a small pack of suspected shabu, and drug paraphernalia.
