AboitizLand launches Foressa

-

Strengthening its foothold in Cebu,AboitizLand launched Foressa Mountain Town, a 300-hectare mountain resort community in Cansomoroy, Balamban, Cebu.

A 90-minute drive away from the city through the Transcentral Highway, AboitizLand’s newest residential community aims to provide vecinos (Spanish term for neighbors; used by AboitizLand to refer to their homeowners) the great outdoors within the comfort of their homes by offering hiking, biking, spelunking, camping, trail riding, among others.

“Foressa Mountain Town is a first of its kind in Cebu, a nature community that ensures the property’s natural assets are preserved and left for future generations to enjoy. It was designed as a second home or vacation residence where families can create lasting memories together. With this project, we believe that families deserve an excellent investment that values quality life,” said AboitizLand CEO Andoni Aboitiz.

With nature as its most precious amenity, Aboitiz added that Foressa vecinos will be given an experience that will allow for fun memories and priceless moments in their own homes within a well-designed community that nurtures life.

“I am excited about how this new project will help fulfill our vision of a wholesome, advanced, vibrant, and sustainable region that we envision Cebu to be. We will continue to strive for a million lifetime partners living and working in our communities enjoying the ultimate real estate experience uniquely crafted by AboitizLand,” added Aboitiz.

Development of this horizontal residential community set in rolling terrain and flat areas will be in four phases, with the first phase composed of 51.5 hectares scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of this year. An initial 114 lots are available to the market with cuts ranging from a minimum of 300 square meters to a maximum of 690 square meters with turnover targeted in 2020.

NEW URBANISM

Foressa Mountain Town stays true to AboitizLand’s promise of creating highquality villages that nurture long-term communities. Tapping one of the world’s bests in real estate development with DPZ Partners, Foressa’s concept of “New Urbanism” is anchored on the idea of raising the quality of life by creating better places to live in with walkable neighborhoods, placemaking, and vibrant spaces. Viewed as the most important planning movement this century, New Urbanism aims to integrate the principles of sustainability in creating a better future for all.

Following the concept of New Urbanism, Foressa offers increased walkability and connectivity within the community with commercial spaces located near the entrance to provide for the needs of the residents.

With half of its land to remain untouched – providing unbounded, open spaces and over 800 species of trees and foliage - Cansomoroy’s natural assets are preserved with the Low Imprint Planning and Low Density Concept in mind. Alongside New Urbanism’s philosophy, it aims to lessen the overall impact to the environment as opposed to the techniques of conventional suburban developments. The design of this project was implemented to fit the Philippine setting by SC&A Architects and Greenstrat, Inc.
