Who will Barbie Forteza end up with tonight?
After six months of keeping viewers hooked on each episode, GMA 7’s “Meant To Be” is all set to deliver a kilig-filled and thrilling finale tonight as Billie Bendiola (Barbie Forteza) finally reveals the lucky guy who captured her heart.
As one of the well-loved series of the network, the program is a hit among netizens as the boys – Jai Patel (Addy Raj), Ethan Spencer-Hughes (Ivan Dorschner), Yuan Lee (Ken Chan) and Andoy De La Cruz (Jak Roberto) – prove how much they love her.
Barbie shares that the love and support of fans and viewers have been their source of strength and inspiration since their pilot airing.
“Super grateful ako kasi na-appreciate at nare-recognize ng tao yung effort naming lahat especially ng mga boys. Talagang nagpo-promote sila para mawiden ang popularity ng show. Nagpapasalamat kami sa lahat ng sumuporta at nag-aantay sa result kung kanino ba talaga mapupunta si Billie,” she said.
According to Addy, he will definitely treasure this show which taught him a lesson when it comes to handling relationships.
“This show enlightened me and the viewers na hindi ito ‘Billie needs Jai’ kundi ‘Jai needs Billie’ in her life. Kasi nakita ko how my character has changed with Billie’s influence. From babaero to stick-to-one which is alam natin ay mahirap. Pero yun nga, he needs Billie to be a better person,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ivan is proud to be a part of the program because of the unity his co-workers—from the staff to his co-artists—has showed him.
“Ang pinaka importante sa set is camaraderie sa mga katrabaho. Dapat may team work. Sobrang na feel ko yun dito, sobrang magaan ang set, open-minded and dynamic ang creative process namin. Hanga kami kay Direk LA (Madridejos),” he said.
Ken, on the other hand, is thankful because the show has imparted many lessons about life and love including the different customs and traditions of JEYA’s respective nationalities.
“Dahil sa ‘Meant To Be,’ natuto ako ng iba’t ibang Indian, British, Chinese and Filipino traditions and cultures. Kaya naman after our show, gusto namin na bisitahin yung respective countries namin. Also, bumalik ako sa pagkabata because of this show. Masaya sa set palagi at very light lang.”
Jak is proud of how Andoy has influenced him to be dauntless in facing life’s everyday challenges.
“Natuto akong maging courageous kasi my character is quiet at torpe kaya naman sa akin, ang laki ng influence ni Andoy kasi ngayon pag natatakot ako, I make sure kinakausap ko sarili ko at sasabihin ko na ‘kaya mo,’” he said.
“Meant To Be” has a stellar cast including Manilyn Reynes, Sheryl Cruz, Tina Paner, Keempee De Leon, Janno Gibbs, Ronaldo Valdez. It also features Sef Cadayona, Mika De La Cruz, Zymic Jaranilla and the Queen of Philippine Cinema Miss Gloria Romero, under the direction of LA Madridejos.
