1,000 enlist for CBX Run

Close to 1,000 runners have already registered for the CBX 30th Anniversary Celebration Fartlek Run this Sunday at the Cebu Business Park.

CBX Corporation's Margie Lim encourages those interested participants to join and sign up immediately as there are only limited slots available.

“We are doing our best to supply new registrants with their singlets and draw string bags. However, stocks levels are getting lesser and lesser everyday,” said Lim.

The race will feature the first ever color bubble fun run in Cebu, making the event more exciting.

Another highlight is the fartlek run concept of the organizers where participants in all categories will run simultaneously in one gun start signal for the whole race.

“What’s unique about our Fartlek Run is all runners can change their registered run distance on the go, as they wish while running. No pressures,” said CBX's Myrna Rañola.

The race features the 3K, 6K, and 12K categories. The 3K entrants can upgrade to 6K or 12K. Furthermore, 6K runners can upgrade to 12K or downgrade to 3K depending on their condition, while the 12K runners can downgrade to 6K or 3K.

The organizers want the runners to run at their own pace and just enjoy the race.

A total of P150,000 worth of IT products for the raffle draw and games will be given away, with 18 major prizes await the winners.

“It is very wonderful and interesting event not to be missed” added Rañola.

One may register at Runnr in Ayala, Toby's Sports (SM City & SM Seaside), CBX stores and at the Cebu City Sports Center. Entry fee is pegged at P450.—
