F2 Logistics routs CESAFI stars
The formidable F2 Logistics Cargo Movers spikers showed off their performing prowess in front of Cebuano fans as they trounced the Cebu Schools Athletics Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) All-Stars in straight sets, 25-21, 25-19, 25-14 , in a goodwill game last n
National team member Kim Fajardo led F2 Cargo Movers' charge to take the first set.The visiting team continued their assault as they proved to be too much for the CESAFI stars by dominating the second and final set.
Even though it was a lopsided match, F2 Logistics Head Coach Ramil De Jesus was all praise for the local team's performance.
"Most of them nakasabay sa F2 Logistics kaya na amaze ako. In that kind of level, nakasabay sila sa level ng mga semi-pro kaya good potential sa mga Cebuanos," he said.
On the other hand, CESAFI All-Star head coach Grace Antigua was happy and proud of her girls' effort. "Their performance is okay but we will try to improve it tomorrow (today). I hope they will have a much better outing. I know they will be giving their best but I won't be expecting too much because we know F2 Logistics is on a different level," she said.
In the middle of the third set the Cebuano fans yelled to plead to the officials of the cargo movers to let Ara Galang play in the final set and coach De Jesus gave the fans the chance to witness their idol to have a quick play on the court.
"She has an injury. Pinagbigyan ko lang yung fans today but hindi pa talaga sya pwede," he said.
The two-day exhibition of the F2 Logistics against CESAFI stars will be concluded this afternoon still at the USC gymnasium. Before that, F2 Logistics will also conduct a volleyball clinic.
